John won bronze in both his individual category and in his pairs category where he competes with Gillian. Gillian also competed in the individuals, narrowly missing the final of her category. Our other dual medalist was Ryan Minihan who won the silver in both his individual and pairs categories. Leah Croucher who won silver with Ryan in the pairs also failed to make the final in the individuals.
John Croucher entered the individuals where he won a very convincing gold medal. Jadd Askar, competing for only the second time, and in the same category as Ryan performed extremely well on the mat and gained an incredible fifth place. The players were coached by Claire Waite and John Croucher.
While the Poomsae competitors made their way home Arantxa Ibanez of MKUTA was preparing to travel to Nottingham the following day for the Kyorugi competition. While the club had no students competing Arantxa was taking part in the refereeing and spent a very long day concentrating on this task.
